As a final year law student from India with limited work experience in a corporate firm, I wish to know if it is better to gain substantial experience for a few years before applying to HSF? What are the chances of Indian law students who are not from top tier law schools to be recruited immediately after graduation?
Graduate Recruitment Adviser, Herbert Smith Freehills

We do not require candidates to have legal work experience to gain a place on our vacation scheme. When we ask about your work experience, we are looking for the transferable skills you have gained from your work experience (be it legal or non-legal) and how they will be of use in a career in law.
